Job summary

Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. is seeking a Meat Sales Support role to assist the Buyers with procurement tasks, including creating purchase orders and coordinating with member retailers and vendors.

You will work closely with the Sales Manager to streamline processes and support daily operations in a fast-paced environment. The position requires strong Excel/Access skills, detailed documentation, and ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and deadlines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong Excel and Access skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Detail oriented, organized and accurate; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and mainframe systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Buyers in procurement, including creating POs and aiding member retailers.
• Coordinate with brokers, vendors, and sales representatives for information.
• Create promotional documents in Excel related to items/categories for Buyers or Sales Manager.
• Enter store orders, rebill out of stocks/reship products.
• Submit and research store credit requests.
• Track and monitor purchase orders and SSO orders.
• Create daily on-demand reports for Buyers and Category Managers.
• Assist in billing back charges to manufacturers/vendors.
• Move daily store orders to support daily retail service level.
• Communicate with corporate traffic department and suppliers via email/phone.
• Perform other duties as required by Sales Manager or Buyers.

Position Summary

Assist the Meat Sales team with all aspects of the department, with the primary focus on buyer and procurement assistance. Extensive retailer, vendor and sales team interaction and communication.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist Buyers in all procurement aspects of the department with primary responsibility
  of creating PO’s and assisting member retailers.
• Contact brokers, vendors, and sales representatives for needed information by the
  department.
• Create promotional (Excel) documents pertinent to item and category information or as
  requested the Buyers or Sales Manager.
• Enter store orders in the system and re-bill out of stocks / reship product.
• Submit and research store credit requests.
• Track and monitor purchase orders and SSO orders.
• Create on Demand reports for Buyers and Category Managers on a daily basis or as
  needed.
• Assist in the billing back of manufacturers and vendors for appropriate charges.
• Move daily stores orders as needed to support daily retail service level.
• Communicate with the corporate traffic department and suppliers on email or phone.
• Perform other duties as required by Sales Manager or Buyers.

Position Requirements

• Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching from a floor level to
  six feet in height. Walking, writing, sitting, and climbing
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced Excel and Access knowledge
