• Promote trust and respect among associates and provide helpful product information.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of products and suggest items to customers.
• Assist with produce prep and inform customers of specials.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and ensure product quality and freshness.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager and maintain temperature logs.
• Maintain safety programs and report unsafe conditions to store management.
• Assist with routine maintenance and respond to customer or employee incidents.
