Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in North Bergen, NJ is seeking a Produce Team Member to assist customers and maintain fresh fruit and vegetables. You will rotate stock, ensure quality, and keep displays neat. You’ll also help with inventory, tagging, and responding to member inquiries in a fast-paced environment.

Expect to work collaboratively with teammates, follow club standards, and provide a safe, welcoming shopping experience. Weekly pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a produce department is preferred.
• Knowledge of fruit and vegetables, including seasonal items.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to Members in the produce department, answer questions, recommend products and safe handling tips, and assist Members with finding products throughout the club.
• Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery; ensure quality standards are met.
• Rotate produce on the sales floor for freshness and variety; keep displays neat and stocked.
• Maintain the produce reserve stock area; date and rotate back stock daily.
• Follow guidelines when disposing of damaged, spoiled, or expired products.
• Assist Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing.
• Clean and sanitize all produce equipment, fixtures, and areas.
• Generate signage for produce goods and ensure correct pricing.
• Maintain club policies and perform other duties as assigned.
• Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
