Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a Produce Clerk in Indiana to assist the Produce Manager in daily department operations, including ordering, merchandising, and merchandising rotation. You will help maintain inventory, ensure product freshness, and support customer service initiatives on the floor.

The role requires basic math and computer skills, and offers full-time hours with flexible shift coverage to serve customers, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education required.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Basic computer skills as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain produce case and keep rotated at all times.
• Responsible for overall appearance and eye appeal of sales floor.
• Assist Produce Manager in ordering all produce.
• Assist Produce Manager in keeping cooler dates organized and properly rotated.
• Assist Produce Manager in calling in credits within the allowed time.
• Assist Produce Manager with the four week period end produce inventory.
• Assist Produce Manager with recording and maintaining accurate bookkeeping systems including but not limited to weekly and monthly produce purchases.
• Provide excellent customer service, including but not limited to friendly courteous and prompt customer service.
• Other job related tasks as needed.
