Job summary

Pure Flavor Farms LP, a greenhouse vegetable grower, seeks a Quality Control Inspector to assess the quality of vegetables received, in inventory, and shipped from the Romulus facility. You will ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements through routine inspections and detailed reporting.

The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The site operates in a refrigerated warehouse with varying shifts and physical requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a vegetable or quality inspector in produce is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, health and safety, and food safety standards.
• Understanding of fresh fruit and vegetable regulations and labeling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect all vegetables arriving at the facility and perform outbound inspections on shipments.
• Complete QC Inspection Reports for each arriving load, including distressed loads.
• Assess and categorize inventory by quality and condition.
• Place and release quarantine/on-hold product as needed.
• Conduct outgoing quality checks and review checks performed by shippers.
