Job summary

Jobot is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector for a contract role in Laredo, TX. The candidate will inspect fresh produce, document findings, and work with operations and quality teams to address issues.

This on-site position is full-time, temporary with immediate need and daily 40-hour weeks. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in QA inspection, bilingual English/Spanish, and knowledge of HACCP/SQF procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product quality inspection or a related role.
• Knowledge of fresh produce quality inspections and product grading.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, and food safety inspection procedures.
• Ability to lift cases weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inspection records.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, tablets, and electronic reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and outgoing fresh produce to ensure quality standards are met.
• Evaluate and grade products based on established quality specifications and guidelines.
• Perform visual and physical inspections including temperature checks, weights, packaging, and internal quality.
• Identify, document, and report product defects and quality concerns.
• Conduct internal food safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality reports.
• Communicate quality issues to supervisors and appropriate departments for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with warehouse, distribution, and quality teams to uphold product quality and food safety.
