Job summary

Food City in Oak Park, TN is seeking a motivated intern to support the Produce Department. You will assist the Produce Manager with ordering, receiving, and displaying products while delivering friendly, efficient customer service.

This internship offers exposure to daily store operations, including stock rotation, fresh-cut prep, and adherence to food-safety policies. On-site shifts require punctuality and teamwork in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and interact with various levels of individuals daily.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service in support of the mission to Run the Best Store in Town.
• Assist Produce Manager with ordering, receiving, and displaying products for processing.
• Rotate merchandise to ensure freshness and quality during stocking.
• Set up and maintain cut vegetable and fruit sections as directed by the Produce Manager.
• Ensure all food safety policies are followed and COOL labels are maintained.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and surrounding area.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time policies.
