Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Perishable Specialist in Midland, TX to maintain a well-stocked department and provide exceptional customer service. You will handle fresh produce across Market, Floral, Produce, Seafood, and Aguas departments, while following food safety standards and SOPs.

Responsibilities include taking orders, assisting customers, preparing and merchandising fresh products, and ensuring product rotation and labeling accuracy. 1+ years of experience preferred; HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provides superior customer service.
• Takes orders from customers by telephone or in person.
• Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections.
• Food Service: Prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product; slices, packages, labels, and rotates products; scans items for production.
• Sales: Merchandises product effectively; uses suggestive selling techniques; makes announcements to increase sales.
• Food Safety / Sanitation: Cleans and sanitizes display cases; operates equipment; complies with safety standards.
