Job summary

Gordon Food Service Store LLC in Davenport, IA is hiring a Full-Time Fresh Merchandiser. You will manage weekly fresh product orders, uphold stock levels and margins, and ensure proper rotation in the produce, meat, and dairy areas.

You will greet customers, answer questions, and fulfill special requests while maintaining merchandising standards. Safe operation of equipment and adherence to company policies are required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prefer 1 year of retail customer service experience with fresh products.

Responsibilities

• Determine amount and place orders for fresh products weekly, focusing on sales, stock, and margins.
• Provide superior customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and handling special requests.
• Receive, inspect, and merchandise products with proper rotation and quality.
• Execute end caps and planograms, maintain backstock organization.
• Assist merchandising through sequencing, count verification, inventory adjustments, price verification, and sign maintenance.
• Safely operate power equipment such as slicing equipment, tow motors, and forklifts.
• Adhere to Gordon Food Service values, policies and safety practices.
