Job summary

Responsibilities

• Adheres to customer service programs to meet goals and resolves customer complaints
• Receives and breaks down loads; checks quality and quantity
• Cuts, grinds, weighs and wraps fresh meat per procedures; controls shrink
• Completes and monitors daily logs and paperwork
• Maintains meat department cooler, freezer, and sales floor sanitation
• Ensures proper merchandising, labeling, and product rotation
• Responds to customer requests and suggests products
• Operates computer orders, inputting inventory and printing labels
• Handles re-worked and reduced-to-clear items per policy
• Follows health, food safety and sanitation standards
• Maintains knowledge of department policies and product characteristics
• May work nights, weekends and holidays; good attendance required
