Job summary

Sam's Club in El Paso, TX is seeking a prepared foods associate to help with fresh food preparation, labeling, storage, and serving ready-to-eat items. You will keep shelves clean, verify expiration dates, and maintain temperature control to ensure high-quality products for members.

You’ll support bakery orders and assist customers while working as part of a team, embracing change and using tools to boost service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) - Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborates with cross functional teams and educates other associates on tools, tasks and resources; communicates effectively with the team; adapts to business needs.
• Be an Expert: Prepares food according to item specifications; plans future productions; prepares for seasonality; adheres to food safety standards and sanitation guidelines; operates and sanitizes equipment.
• Be a Techie: Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; uses handheld tech to support decisions around production and quality.
• Be an Owner: Drives area performance; manages stocking, quality, date control, waste elimination; guides peers and assists customers according to policies.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and club by delivering high-quality service and products; demonstrates energy and commitment.
• Complies with company policies and standards of ethics by applying related action plans and open-door policy.
• Completes work by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; prioritizes and communicates progress and improvements.
