Job summary

Sam's West, Inc. is seeking a team member for our prepared foods and rotisserie section in Woodbridge, VA. You will help prepare fresh items, wrap and label merchandise, and assist members with bakery orders to ensure the freshest products are available.

You will maintain a clean, compliant, and member-ready area, adapt to changing tasks, and leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience. This role emphasizes teamwork and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared foods; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with team members; be flexible to business needs.
• Be an Expert: prepare food according to item specifications; plan future productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards and cold chain; manage inventory; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; understand product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie: use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology for decisions on production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools.
• Be an Owner: drive area performance; manage high exposure; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; assist customers per policies.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: advocate for the department and member experience; model high quality service; display energy and commitment.
• Complies with policies and ethics; use Open Door Policy; implement action plans and adapt to change.
• Completes work with managers, coworkers, customers and partners; manage priorities, deadlines, and communication.
