Job summary

Eataly is seeking a Fresh Market Lead to oversee the Fresh Market counters, including Butcher, Fish, Salumi & Formaggi, Produce and Fresh Pasta, ensuring quality control and optimal team performance.

You will supervise and train staff, manage stock with the Fresh Market Manager, coordinate with the main production kitchen and restaurants, optimize production schedules, maintain appealing displays, and monitor safety and profitability. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience
• Experience with cured meats, artisan cheeses, butchering and fish mongering is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, time management and relationship-building skills
• Financial analysis skills are considered an asset
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains and motivates the team to increase sales and efficiency
• Maintains stock levels and makes key decisions about stock control in partnership with the Fresh Market Manager, placing orders as needed
• Communicates with the main production kitchen and restaurants to ensure that all orders are fulfilled
• Assists with the management of the production schedule to achieve maximum efficiency
• Ensures Fresh counters and displays are visually appealing and merchandized effectively
• Communicates any technical or mechanical issues to the appropriate department
• Assists guests with product selection and shares knowledge of products
• Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
• Analyzes financial data and takes actions to improve efficiency and profitability of the department
• Supports with monthly inventory counts
• Ensures department consistently meets quality, health and safety standards
• Performs other duties as required or assigned
