A Giant Heirloom Fresh Lead role is a leadership position responsible for overseeing fresh produce operations, ensuring product quality, managing team performance, and delivering an excellent customer experience in the store's fresh department.

Core Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Engagement
  • Greet customers warmly, make eye contact, smile, and say hello
  • Build rapport with the neighborhood by getting to know regulars and being approachable.
  • Educate customers and team members about fresh products, answer questions, and offer meal ideas or cooking tips
  • Operate self-checkout efficiently and return promptly to assist customers.
• Fresh Produce Operations
  • Receive, unload, store, and verify deliveries
  • Supervise stocking, product rotation, and shrinkage recording.
  • Create engaging, informative displays and seasonal promotions.
  • Implement food sampling programs to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures at all times
• Team Leadership & Development
  • Assign and oversee daily tasks for fresh department partners
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive work environment.
  • Train and empower team members to become knowledgeable product experts.
  • Identify process improvements and share solutions with the team.
