Job summary

F&S Fresh Foods in Vineland, New Jersey, is seeking a Food Technologist to support product development, process improvement, and commercialization of fresh, refrigerated and value-added foods. The role reports to the Director of Product Development and spans formulation, testing, and scale-up to production.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field and at least two years of technical or food-manufacturing experience, with strong analytical and documentation

Qualifications

• Must have strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve products, create prototypes and formulas, translate concepts into scalable formulations.
• Plan trials and initial production runs, scale formulas to commercial production, prepare instructions and specifications.
• Maintain formulas, trial records, product specs, processing parameters, and labeling information.
• Design shelf-life and sensory studies, coordinate outside testing, and recommend formulation changes.
• Collaborate with Operations, QA, Food Safety, Procurement, Sales, customers and laboratories to improve products and performance.
