Job summary

Whole Foods Market in New York is seeking a Team Member for the Prepared Foods team. You will help prepare, serve, stock, and sanitize food items, delivering courteous, friendly service to customers and team members.

You will follow health and safety standards, assist with inventory and displays, and support the team during opening, mid, and closing shifts, including training and meetings.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• 8-hour work day with standing/walking 6-8 hours.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods.
• Samples products to customers.
• Stocks cases and displays with prepared foods.
• Checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates stock.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Completes temperature, spoilage, sampling, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, and merchandising.
• Reports safety hazards promptly.
