Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience in our Fresh departments. You will build connections with customers, share product knowledge, and help shoppers find what they need while maintaining attractive displays.

This role emphasizes a friendly, customer-first attitude, ability to work across departments, and adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability on all days of the week to meet business needs.
• Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Food handling experience preferred.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery departments.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
