Job summary

Meijer Great Lakes is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service in our Fresh departments. You will help customers find products, answer questions, and ensure displays are fresh, complete, and visually appealing. The role requires physical activity and comfort with fast-paced retail environments.

You’ll work across departments, stock and rotate items, use store technology, and follow safety and quality procedures to keep the store running smoothly and customers coming back.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and use store technology and POS systems.
• Comfort with moving and lifting supplies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service with product knowledge and a friendly attitude.
• Assist customers in locating items and answering questions.
• Maintain fresh, full, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Support multiple departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Contribute to smooth operations and team collaboration on every shift.
