Job summary

Meijer in East Lansing, MI is hiring a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service across Fresh departments. You'll help customers, keep displays fresh, stock and rotate products, and use store technology to complete tasks efficiently.

This role requires a customer-first mindset, ability to lift and stand for long periods, and comfort working in a fast-paced retail setting. Prior retail or food service is helpful but not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
