Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to help maintain a fresh, inviting store experience across Fresh departments in Illinois. You will engage customers, share product knowledge, and ensure displays are clean and well-stocked.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery, using store tech to complete tasks and following food safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience within our Fresh departments.
• You’ll build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• You’ll share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
