Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is seeking a Fresh Food Coordinator in Minnesota to oversee the preparation, presentation, and quality of fresh food items while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

You will assist the Fresh Food Manager, coach the team to prepare and package items promptly, manage inventory and ordering to keep stock fresh, and collaborate on pricing and promotions to meet profitability goals. Physical work includes lifting 25+ pounds and working in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures
• Assist the Fresh Food Manager with proper task execution and completion while following effective safety practices
• Work with and coach the team to prepare and package fresh kitchen items in a timely manner to maximize customer service expectations and results
• Manage food inventory and ordering supplies to ensure stock is fresh and adequate
• Coordinate with suppliers and manage waste reduction efforts
• Assist in pricing, promotions, and ensure the deli meets profitability goals
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Team Member, facility maintenance, and leadership roles.
