Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient customer service in our Fresh departments. You will share product knowledge, assist customers, and ensure shelves and displays are full, fresh, and appealing.

You’ll stock, rotate, and merchandise products, use store technology to complete tasks, and follow food safety and quality procedures. Previous retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food service is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to follow processes and safety standards.
• Willingness to be physically active, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
