Sprouts Farmers Market in Concord, NC is hiring a Deli Clerk to help customers choose healthy options, prepare fresh meals, and ensure the deli area stays clean and inviting. You’ll work with meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales, and other deli equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable
• Have and show an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers.
• Have the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing “fresh and easy meals”
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented, keeping the deli area clean
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
• Prepare special orders and party trays
• Operate deli equipment including meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment; clean shelves and floors
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
