Job Title: Fresh Cut Clerk | Reports to: Produce Department Manager/Fresh Cut Manager

In this role, you’ll ensure our guests have access to delicious, freshly cut fruit and veggie platters—ideal for daily life, gatherings, or special occasions! Your role in keeping our fresh cut department stocked and ready will encourage guests to return, trusting us for their entertaining needs.

Job Description

What You’ll Do: As a Fresh Cut Clerk at Festival Foods, your responsibilities include:

  • Maintain Freshness: Keep stock levels appropriate by observing sales and coolers, producing, stocking, and replenishing products as needed.
  • Provide Exceptional Service: Deliver outstanding service to all guests, assist with finding products, resolve concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure Cleanliness: Keep work areas, shelving, and sales floors organized and sanitized.
  • Monitor Quality & Food Safety: Meet quality standards, maintain food safety logs, and meet quantity expectations by 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Honor Commitments: Maintain regular, timely attendance and provide notice for absences.
  • Support the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For: To succeed as a Festival Foods Fresh Cut Clerk, you should have:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effectively engage with guests, leaders, and team members using strong verbal and written communication in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety policies, proper lifting techniques, and tool safety.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Ability to operate equipment such as power jacks, walk-behind lifts, WAVs, balers, and compactors.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The physical demands include standing for long periods, working in coolers, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 40 pounds, and performing repetitive tasks. Sensory abilities are required to monitor displays and operate equipment. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

  • The associate must be able to stand for extended periods, work in coolers, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Work Schedule: This position can be part-time or full-time.
