Job summary

The Niemann Foods Fresh Cut Clerk position involves preparing fresh produce to spec, assisting customers with knowledgeable service, and maintaining product quality and rotation in a safe environment. You will follow health codes and store policies while supporting merchandising and shrink control.

Training emphasizes knife safety, operation of production sheets, and teamwork in a fast-paced grocery setting. Experience in fruits/vegetables is preferred; culinary education is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in volume production of culinary cold foods, preferably in Fruits & Vegetables.
• Culinary education a benefit.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fresh produce to size and variety specifications.

SUMMARY

The Niemanns Fresh Cut Clerk responsibilities include but are not limited to cutting fruits and vegetables, providing excellent customer service, gaining product knowledge, rotation of product, merchandising, and controlling shrink while working in a safe manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilizes and understand how to use Produce Production Sheet
• Cuts fresh produce to size and variety specifications
• Understands product quality standards
• Follows all Health Code guidelines
• Works within company programs, policies and procedures
• Follows all safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
