Job summary

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced grocery environment. You will work in Fresh departments, help customers find products, and maintain clean, inviting displays.

The role requires the ability to lift and stand for extended periods, and to work evenings, closers, and weekends. You will build positive connections with customers and teammates, share product knowledge, stock and rotate products, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to learn and use store technology and POS systems.
• Ability to maintain fresh displays and adhere to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming store experience in Fresh departments.
• Build connections with customers and teammates, share product knowledge.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and wellrun store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
