THE FRENCH MATERNAL SCHOOL seeks a full-time, on-site French Speaking Toddler Teacher to lead a classroom of toddlers in a French immersion environment. You will design and implement age-appropriate activities supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and language development; plan lessons and document progress while ensuring safety.

You will regularly communicate with families, collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and management, and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive learning space.

Qualifications

• Minimum required: Associate in ECE or related field plus CDA or BA with CDA
• Fluent French communication with toddlers and strong teaching ability
• Experience tutoring or small-group instruction for young children

Role Description The French Speaking Toddler Teacher is a full-time, on-site role. This educator will lead a classroom of toddlers, designing and delivering age-appropriate activities in French that support social, emotional, cognitive, and language development. Daily responsibilities include planning lessons, organizing play-based learning, monitoring child safety and well-being, maintaining classroom routines, and documenting developmental progress. The teacher will communicate regularly with families about each child’s experiences and milestones, collaborate with colleagues on curriculum and classroom management, and help maintain a clean, engaging, and inclusive learning environment. The role also involves participating in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as part of the broader teaching team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Associate in ECE or Associate in any field + CDA or BA in any field + CDA
• Demonstrated skills in French Teaching and general Teaching, with the ability to communicate fluently in French with toddlers.
• Experience in Tutoring or small-group instruction, supporting individualized attention and differentiated learning for young children.
• Background in Education, early childhood development, or a related field, with understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for toddlers.
• Exposure to Teacher Training or professional development, showing commitment to continuous growth and use of current educational best practices.
• Relevant qualifications such as a degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or similar discipline.
• Strong classroom management, patience, and the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with families, colleagues, and school leadership.
• Prior experience in a toddler or preschool classroom, particularly in a bilingual or immersion setting, is highly beneficial.
