A leading interpreting services provider is seeking French Telephonic Interpreters to work from home. This freelance role involves providing over-the-phone interpretation services, primarily in medical fields. Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of professional interpreting experience and meet all legal requirements to work in the USA. Flexible scheduling is available, with payment issued bi-monthly for minutes worked. Residents of New York and California are not eligible to apply.

Overview

French Telephonic Interpreters Wanted (Work From Home)

Certified Languages International (CLI) connects clients with world-class interpreting services, and has since its inception in 1996. Thousands of organizations across the country rely on CLI to help them communicate with a growing demographic of Limited English Proficient (LEP) speakers.

Responsibilities

• The contract position is 100% over-the-phone interpretation.
• CLI handles a high volume of calls, most of which are medical in nature. We service all industries including insurance, financial, utility companies, customer service and state courts.
• Interpreters are freelance independent contractors and work from home, setting their own schedule. CLI clients require interpreting services 24/7; you can provide service anytime using our online portal or your landline telephone to log on and off.

Qualifications

• You must meet all legal requirements to work in the United States (SSN or EIN and Photo ID required) and you must reside in the United States.
• Minimum two years of professional interpreting experience (preferably Over-the-Phone Interpreting) is required.
• A Language Assessment is required for all interpreters; detailed information will be sent later.
• Payment is on a per-minute basis for every minute spent on the phone interpreting. Payment is issued twice a month, on the 15th and on the last day of the month via direct deposit.
• We are not currently recruiting contract interpreters in New York or California. If you live in New York or California, please do not apply.
