Please Note: Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. Applications submitted will remain active for up to two years. Kern Community College District is soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary range is $67.00/hour; Hourly rate may vary based on type of assignment and the Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula. The successful candidate will be expected to provide instruction in a full range of French courses including, but not limited to, Elementary French and Intermediate French depending on institutional needs.
Other duties include: participating in student recruitment and articulation of programs; maintaining subject matter currency; developing and revising curriculum; using computer and multimedia technology; assessing student learning and program level outcomes; collegially participating in department, college, and discipline-specific professional activities.
This assignment may include using multiple teaching methodologies and teaching at other campus sites; day, evening, or weekend classes; large classes; distance learning classes; and classes for incarcerated students.
