Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced freight train conductor to ensure the safe and efficient movement of freight trains, couple railcars, and deliver railcars to customers. You will help transport trains across long distances and maintain electronic documentation and inspections.

Ideal candidates are comfortable working outdoors in varied weather, hold a valid driver's license, and can pass FRA drug and alcohol screening. Availability for non-traditional shifts is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to report to work within 90 minutes.
• Clean driving record in past 36 months (no drug/alcohol related suspensions).
• FRA drug and alcohol screening clearance required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate freight trains and ensure safe movement of railcars.
• Couple railcars to build trains.
• Deliver railcars to customers per schedule.
• Transport trains over long distances as required.
• Maintain electronic documentation and inspections.
