Qualifications

• 3+ years of freight forwarding experience with a strong pricing background.
• Hands-on experience with international air and/or ocean freight pricing.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare competitive air and ocean freight pricing for customers and sales teams.
• Obtain and analyze rates from airlines, ocean carriers, NVOCCs, and other transportation providers.
• Review market conditions, carrier rates, fuel surcharges, accessorial charges, and pricing variables.
• Prepare spot quotes, customer quotations, RFQs, RFPs, and tender pricing.
• Analyze historical pricing and shipment data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Work with sales and operations to ensure pricing is accurate and commercially viable.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers where appropriate.
• Maintain and update rate sheets, pricing databases, and carrier tariffs.
• Ensure quotations are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Monitor competitor pricing and market movements.
• Support pricing strategies to improve profitability and gross margins.
• Review existing customer rates and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with large-volume bids and strategic account pricing.

Freight Pricing Analyst | Atlanta, GA | $70,000 annual salary

This role will be responsible for supporting the pricing and commercial functions across the business, developing competitive freight rates, analyzing market conditions, and preparing accurate quotations for customers and the sales team. The ideal candidate will have strong freight forwarding and pricing experience and a solid understanding of international air and ocean transportation.

Requirements

• Experience preparing spot quotes, RFQs, RFPs, and tenders
• Comfortable working with carrier and vendor rate structures
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively with sales, operations, and overseas offices
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other standard business software
• Ability to manage multiple pricing requests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
