Qualifications

• HAZMAT handling and regulatory compliance
• Hazardous materials knowledge (49 CFR, IATA)
• Freight/shipment planning and cost awareness
• Security clearance requirements and reporting

Responsibilities

• Arrange domestic and Foreign Military Sales freight shipments using established routes and tariffs.
• Compute and compare rate charges across modes; obtain quotes as needed; document cost-avoidance data.
• Verify consignee info, priority designators, and cargo dimensions before release.
• Inspect HAZMAT shipments for regulatory compliance, packaging, labeling and marking.
• Arrange for support services: signature service, rigging crews, MHE, blocking/bracing.
• Dispatch drivers to depot locations; apply secure freight seals and proper safety placards.
