Job Description

Position Summary

Perform various shipping and receiving functions: load and unload trucks, check and sort product of varying sizes and wights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying. Physical agility and stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift (up to 60 pounds).

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and unload incoming shipments from trucks, check in mill receipts.
  • Segregate and sort receipts by style and color.
  • Breakdown and repack boxes.
  • Scan shipping labels and check weights.
  • Assist in preparing truck orders for shipment; shrink wrap pallets as needed.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Load UPS trailers with customer orders that have been packaged and forwarded to the truck via conveyor, conforming to standards and maximizing space.
  • Follow safety policies and regulations when moving freight or handling equipment.
  • Serve as a member of the Distribution Center team, helping with other tasks as needed.

  • Basic reading and math skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Safety awareness
  • Ability to operate manual equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks).
  • Ability to operate scanner, tape machine, and in-line weight scale.
  • Demonstrated flexibility with work schedule; ability to work overtime to meet business demands.

  • Entry-level position
