Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a Freight Handler Lead in Salt Lake City, UT, with a safety-first mindset and strong communication skills. You will lead by example, ensure on-time attendance, and manage daily warehouse duties while coordinating dock operations with dispatch.

Ideal candidates bring forklift experience and supervisory or management exposure, plus excellent problem-solving abilities to support efficient loading/unloading of freight in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all team members are on time and ready for work.
• Inspect the dock to make sure it is a clean and safe work environment.
• Coordinate dock operations with dispatch.
• Meet with Operations Supervisors for daily assignments.
• Assist with loading and unloading a wide variety of freight.
