Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in the United States is seeking a Freight Forwarder Ocean Import to manage ocean import operations, including customs clearance, carrier booking, tracking, and final delivery. You will monitor shipments, provide customers with updates, and handle documentation for customs clearance while maintaining compliance with trade laws.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics preferred.
• Experience in ocean imports is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with basic math for cost calculations.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus.

A Freight Forwarder Ocean Import is responsible for managing the importation of goods by ocean, including all aspects of the logistics process such as customs clearance, carrier booking, cargo tracking, and delivery to the final destination. This role involves coordinating with various parties including carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Educational background / Work experience

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred
• Experience in ocean imports is highly desirable

For this position, the expected base pay range is $18.45 – $23.06 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
