Summary

The Freight Coordinator position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement, “to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Additionally, the Freight Coordinator performs a variety of operational tasks assigned by store management, such as receiving and unpacking daily shipments, shipping merchandise, backroom maintenance, and routine cleaning of facilities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure shipment accuracy.
  • Send alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx.
  • Check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips.
  • Ensure all transfers are processed through the register and match shipped items.
  • Properly fold and box items for shipping to Guests and other stores.
  • Remove pins and plastic from shipped merchandise, place Sensormatic tags, hang and fold merchandise, and steam when needed.
  • Work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Develop knowledge of POS software, receive freight, and handle store transfers.
  • Manage shipment paperwork, recognize security risks, and prepare FedEx labels.
  • Send recalls and RTVs weekly, organize supplies, fixtures, and shelving.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, communicate policy violations, and provide feedback to management.
  • Understand and follow Buckle’s policies and ethics, contribute to a positive team environment, and perform any additional duties as assigned.
