POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator/Dispatcher to join our team. This role plays a crucial role in the efficiency and smoothness of supply chain operations. Responsibilities include coordinating procurement, storage, transportation, managing inventory, dispatcher duties, and ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage and coordinate all logistical processes for supply chain operations, including dispatcher duties.
  2. Monitor and track drivers and delivery of products and materials.
  3. Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure prompt shipment movement.
  4. Maintain documents such as Bill of Ladings (BOLs) and Rate Confirmations.
  5. Maintain accurate records of activities, inventory, and logistics information.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  7. Plan and track shipments according to customer requirements.
  8. Monitor logistics to ensure timely delivery.
  9. Plan and manage the flow of materials and information.
  10. Respond to issues or complaints related to the supply chain.
  11. Prepare reports for management.
  12. Implement measures to improve quality, cost, and efficiency.
  13. Forecast upcoming demand levels.
  14. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting.
  15. Use Outlook for communication and scheduling.
  16. Participate in team meetings using Microsoft Teams.
  17. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to logistics.
  18. Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  19. Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Dispatcher, Logistics Coordinator, or similar role in transportation or logistics industry.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with logistics, transportation, or warehouse environments.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software or ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and multitasking ability.
  • Knowledge of logistics principles and regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken, read, and written).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Use of standard office equipment and safety gear in the warehouse.
