Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Receiver/Checker in York, PA. You will verify incoming shipments, input data, and help maintain accurate inventory while working in a freezer environment. Requires at least six months warehouse experience, ability to operate pallets jacks and comply with safety policies.

Shift is 5:30 PM start with long hours and overtime may be required. Compensation starts at $18/hour with shift differential and a freezer premium; benefits available and weekly pay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming goods by comparing with manifests, invoices, or orders.
• Record shipment data in the system, including weight, charges, space, and discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory via cycle counting and resolve shortages, overages, or damages.
• Monitor open invoices in the warehouse management system.
• Support smooth flow from receiving to shipping and communicate issues.

Position Overview

You'll help achieve this mission as a Receiver/Checker, by ensuring that the correct merchandise is received by the facility free of damage, infestation, and in correct quantities.

Job Description

Pay:

$18/hour (Plus shift differential & freezer premium)

Schedule:

530pm start until done (13 hour shifts)

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday

Location:

4875 N Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406, USA

You will contribute by:

• Examining contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming shipment. Record the correct count and pallet type for input upon completion of the PO.

• Record shipment data into computer system, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes. Maintain accurate counts on inbound freight to insure appropriate warehouse storage availability.

• Assisting with maintaining an accurate inventory through cycle/directed counting. Research customer service issues including, but not limited to shortages, overages and damages and recommend appropriate response.

• Monitoring warehouse management system for open invoices.

• Supporting the even flow from receiving to shipping and communicate issues and concerns. Identify and monitor high volume and high dollar items during shipping process.

• Labeling all pallets to be stocked and verify accuracy of inbound freight received by comparing the purchase order with the bill of lading. Record discrepancies on bill of lading and inform clerk and/or appropriate management of damage and inventory shortages

• Perform all other daily/weekly/monthly tasks, not specifically mentioned herein, as described in the inventory control SOP program.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

We’re searching for candidates with:

• At least six months of warehouse experience

• Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred

• Ability to work in varying temperatures.

• Ability to work a ten+ hour shift with occasional overtime.

• Ability to operate the necessary equipment.

• Ability to lift between 30 – 70 lbs, walk/ stand up to 12 hrs.

• Ability and willingness to follow all safety policies and procedures
