Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to perform cycle counts and verify inventory in the warehouse using handheld devices. The role involves updating the system, researching variances, and ensuring dating accuracy on products.

You will participate in audits, assist with receiving paperwork, and help manage obsolete or at-risk inventory. Strong accuracy, communication, and teamwork are essential for success in a fast-paced cold/ambient warehouse.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Experience in inventory control or warehousing is preferred.
• Ability to operate handheld scanning devices and update systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate cycle counts of inventory locations using handheld devices.
• Research and resolve inventory variances and update records.
• Validate dating of product and perform related audits.
• Assist in processing inbound receiving paperwork and SOP audits.

Inventory Control Specialists assist in this mission by performing the duties of counting and verifying product in the warehouse using handheld devices or forms as well as handling obsolete inventory and validating processes are in place per SOPs. These critical roles help to support our prideful work environment and the delivery of high quality product to our customers.

Job Description

Earn $19.28 per hour

1st Shift Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm

You will contribute by:

• Conducting accurate cycle count of inventory locations per handheld device/forms in the warehouse and make system updates as required
• Researching and resolving inventory variances
• Validating dating of product in the warehouse and update as required
• Auditing and correcting inbound receiving paperwork and perform audits of SOP's as required by supervisor
• Responding to buyer requests for item checks in the warehouse
• Coordinate the handling of obsolete and at risk inventory (vendor returns, donations, recalls) to include: identifying, communicating, adjusting and validating product
• Deputize for ICQA lead as necessary for the following areas: Allocation of work between IC reps and specialists
• Monitor activity to ensure work carried out effectively, resolve issues as necessary Review processes to ensure correct execution Storage reconciliation as assigned
• Being trained on operating system for Inventory Control, will be working all necessary daily required reports.
• Walking several miles a day in and out of Freezer temperatures to complete physical counts and research
• Being a team player and working with minimal supervision
• Being a good communicator
