Job summary

Sam's West, Inc. in Waldorf, MD is seeking a Fresh Food Associate for the freezer, cooler, and deli team. You’ll help keep shelves stocked and ensure sanitary conditions so products are ready for our members.

You’ll be on the front lines of customer service, greeting customers with a smile and helping them find what they need. Responsibilities include safety compliance, merchandising, and accurate pricing; you will also assist with stock management, dates verification, and maintaining a clean,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for stocking and customer service with prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety of Facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including safety sweeps and proper forklift spotting procedures.
• Maintain the Sales Floor and merchandise presentation in the Freezer/Cooler/Deli area according to Company policies; handle claims and returns; receive, stock and price merchandise; keep displays organized.
• Provide Member service by acknowledging the Member, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving issues.
• Follow food handling policies; operate, repair, and sanitize equipment; monitor freezer/cooler temperatures; report issues to Management.
• Keep the freezer/cooler/deli area clean, sanitized, and ready for members.
