Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is hiring for a 1st shift position working from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay is $18.95 per hour.

You will manually stack and load boxes onto pallets from the production line following a specific pattern, ensure labels face outward and lot numbers face out, and perform other duties as assigned.

Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs, may be exposed to cold environments, and must wear PPE while adhering to safety policies; Wayne-Sanderson Farms is an equal opportunity employer.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Primarily responsible manually stacking boxes on pallets prior to shipping. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Under general supervision, stack/load boxes from production line on pallets following specific pattern
• Ensure stacked boxes are straight with label facing out and lot numbers turned to the outside
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but nut required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• May be exposed to cold (45ºF, 4ºC)
• Work around raw, live animal odors
