Who you are

You’ll write news digest articles based on trending topics in pop culture, progressive politics, and viral news. Interest in these topics and in social media is a plus. Topics are assigned to you by our editorial team. Must be able to turn around work same-day or next-day based on deadlines. Please submit examples of your work along with your resume.

Essential functions of the job include:

1. Writing articles on trending topics for ComicSands.com, with frequency negotiable
2. Creating content based on topic assignments from editors
3. Writing with excellent spelling and grammar
4. Working under firm deadlines for same-day and next-day turnarounds
5. Incorporating feedback into future work
6. Generating invoices and submitting monthly
7. Demonstrating creativity and timeliness
8. Having a sense of humor
9. Ability to synthesize feedback

This freelance role is remote and requires your own computer.
