We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Freelance Canadian French Localization Specialist. This role involves translating and localizing various content types, including e-commerce content, training resources, software, and marketing materials, to ensure they resonate with the Canadian French-speaking audience while retaining the original intent, style, and tone.

Key Responsibilities:

Localize content from English to Canadian French, ensuring cultural relevance and compliance with local norms and practices.

Collaborate with project managers to understand client-specific localization needs and objectives. Perform quality assurance checks to ensure high linguistic standards and cultural accuracy.

Provide Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) services as required.

Stay updated with linguistic trends and cultural shifts within the Canadian French-speaking community.

Qualifications:

Native proficiency in Canadian French and fluency in English.

Degree in Translation, Localization, Linguistics, or a related field from a Canadian university.

Membership in recognized translation bodies (e.g., ATIO, OTTIAQ) is preferred.

Proven experience in localization projects, particularly in adapting content for the Canadian French market.
