(SVTA) is a world leader in the manufacturing of Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) systems, Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) equipment, and Thin Film Deposition tools for R&D and production. Since 1993, SVTA has provided innovative solutions in thin film technology for applications in electronics, photonics, coatings, renewable energy, and more. We specialize in Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) deposition systems, producing thin films and clean interfaces, along with custom deposition sources and process monitoring tools. Our UHV systems meet customer-specified requirements for sample handling, processing, and analysis.

Role Description

This is a roughly three-month position for a Freelance Technical Writer. SVTA is located in Eden Prairie, MN, but the position can be fully remote. The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating written content for the company website. SVTA has hired a website developer in parallel, so the look and feel of the website is outside the scope of this role. Daily tasks include writing and editing technical content, collaborating with engineering teams, and updating documentation as needed. While this particular role will terminate with completion of the website content, opportunities for the Technical Writer beyond this project is a possibility.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in technical writing
• A Bachelor's degree, or substantial completion thereof, in engineering or science
• Experience in creating and developing written content suitable for a website
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
