Versant Media is seeking a Freelance PEP (Technical Production Supervisor) to join CNBC Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Qualifications

• 3+ years of operations experience in a production control room, studio, or transmission.
• 2+ years of experience working in a live news environment.
• Deep knowledge of control room and studio technology.
• Operational knowledge of fiber, cellular bonding, satellite, and IP vendors and systems.
• Must be flexible with assigned shifts, on call, and breaking news coverage.
• Must be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Oversee control room operations for live and pre-recorded CNBC shows and News programs.
• Act as the first point of contact for control room and studio technical issues.
• Identify potential technical issues in the show’s iNews rundown and communicate those issues to editorial.
• Provide the control room with information regarding breaking news and coordinate routing of essential sources.
• Ensure quality control of all remotes to match Versant standards for framing, video, and audio.
• Coordinate multi-camera remotes with Transmission, Field Technical Managers, and Production Managers.
• Handle the Zoom check-in process from start to finish.
• Manage the show’s RS layout and IFB/PL designations for remotes.
• Construct a remote shot sheet with routing and RS/IFB/PL information for teams.
• Coordinate and document commercial break changes with the Network Operations Center.
• Document technical issues and communicate those issues in a Production Issue Report.
