Job summary

FOX News Media in Los Angeles is seeking a Freelance Studio Technician to join the Broadcast Engineering team. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot studio systems and equipment to minimize interruptions to workflow.

You will provide on-site technical support to editorial staff, create facility schematics using AutoCAD and Lucidchart, and analyze systems to improve workflow and efficiency. Flexibility to work either 1:00 PM–9:00 PM or 7:00 PM–3:00 AM, weekends, and varying hours is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant technical experience, or an equivalent combination of skills.
• Schematic diagrams creation/modification using AutoCAD and LucidChart.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Adobe Premiere and Photoshop experience preferred.
• Experience using 3D design software for printing broadcast parts is a plus.
• Must be able to move and carry industry equipment; frequent movement between two floor levels is required.
• Flexibility to work either scheduled shift, weekends, and varying hours as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News is hiring a Freelance Studio Technician to join the Broadcast Engineering division of the Los Angeles Bureau. This team designs, implements, and maintains systems that support the LA operation and minimize interruptions to workflow. In this role, you will support facility operations, operate and maintain broadcast studios, and provide on-site technical support to editorial staff. You must be available to work either 1:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.-3:00 a.m., with flexibility to work weekends and between both shifts as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Adobe Premiere and Photoshop experience is preferred
