WorkGenius Group is seeking a freelance Stock Associate for a short-term engagement in New York, NY. You will receive, unpack, verify, and organize shipments, maintain a clean stockroom, and replenish the sales floor to support store operations.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with others in a fast-paced contemporary fashion retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, verify, and organize incoming shipments while identifying discrepancies, damages, or shipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, orderly stockroom, organizing merchandise by style, size, category, and season.
• Replenish the sales floor and respond to product requests from sales associates and store management.
• Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, stock transfers, reconciliation, and fulfillment for online orders and returns.
• Support general store operations and additional tasks as needed to maintain efficient retail operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail, stockroom operations, inventory management, or a similar role preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in contemporary fashion, apparel, and retail.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently or collaboratively with strong communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift merchandise or boxes; familiarity with POS systems, inventory software, or Excel is a plus.
