Complex is seeking a Snapchat Editor to develop and oversee the voice for Complex Snapchat, creating and publishing real-time content and managing community interactions. This role requires familiarity with streetwear culture, strong editorial judgment, and proficiency in Photoshop and Premiere.

You will curate engaging content, pitch viral ideas, and work with the social team to drive growth, traffic, and engagement across vertical video formats.

Formación

• 2-3 years of social media and editorial experience with a publisher or brand.
• Extensive knowledge of the internet, pop culture, and vertical video.
• Previous Snapchat publishing experience strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of Complex’s content, voice, and tone.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Premiere).
• Proficient in CapCut and mobile editing software.
• Experience with AI image generation.
• Strong writing and communication skills, proofreading experience, and quick decision-making.
• Robust knowledge of streetwear/fashion and its connection to pop culture, sports and music.
• Excellent Snapchat and social video fluency.

What You'll Do

• Develop, refine, and oversee the voice of Complex Snapchat, exhibiting excellent judgment and audience-sensitive framing.
• Create, curate, and be responsible for all content published to the Complex Snapchat network.
• Lead community management, moderation, and DM management using a deep understanding of the Complex tone and voice.
• Surface and pitch viral, breaking, and social-friendly content to our news and social team.
• Ideate, source, and create original real-time content for Complex ’s Snapchat audience, identifying memes, moments, and trends at the cusp of virality.
• Manage workflow of editorial social posts, working with the branded social team to coordinate posting and schedules.
• Implement and utilize AI tools to improve efficiency and serve as a thought-partner.
• Develop and ideate new and fresh ideas for Snapchat video content.
• Execute the voice of Complex Snapchat, exhibiting excellent judgment and audience-sensitive framing.
• Develop creative assets in Photoshop and Premiere/CapCut.
• Support all social goals (growth, traffic, views, and engagement) and be accountable for providing vertical-specific tactics, strategic pivots, and added direction when needed.
• Track and share social and platform best practices with internal teams, providing best-in-class examples where possible.

Who You Are

• 2-3 years of social media and editorial experience with a publisher or brand.
• Extensive knowledge of the internet, pop culture, and vertical video.
• Previous Snapchat publishing experience strongly preferred.
• A deep understanding of the Complex ’s content, voice, and tone.
• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Premiere).
• Must be proficient in mobile editing softwares, particularly CapCut.
• Experience with AI image generation.
• Positive, intuitive, proactive, and collaborative team player.
• Strong writing and communication skills, proofreading experience, and quick decision-making skills.
• Robust knowledge of streetwear/fashion and how it connects to areas such as pop culture + sports + music.
• Possess a deep understanding and fluency surrounding Snapchat and social video.
• Proven track record in driving audience and consumer action on social media.
• Remain up-to-date on what our competitive set is doing to ensure that our lane isn’t being stepped on.
• Self-management skills + take charge attitude.
