Job summary

Walmart's Associate Experience group within Intelligent Store Tech (IST) is seeking a seasoned full-stack engineer to build tools that empower associates at checkout lanes.

You will develop with React JS, React Native, Java, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, NoSQL and Kafka, design scalable microservices, write clean APIs, and drive observability and quality in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in full stack development of highly scalable applications.
• Experience with micro-services architecture and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in back-end technologies and APIs using Java, Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS/React Native.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.

Within IST as part of the Associate Experience group, you will be focused on building tools to enable our Associates to serve our customers at the checkout lanes.

What you'll do:

• Full stack development using multiple technologies like React JS, React Native, Java, Spring, Kubernetes, NoSQL, Kafka and other such tools/frameworks
• Identifying short- and long-term goals, reviewing and providing feedback for proposed solutions, performing design and code reviews.
• Develop efficient code to automate repetitive / manual tasks.
• Design and develop in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects.
• Maintain an unwavering focus on Observability and ensures everything can be measured.
• Directs root cause analysis of critical business and production issues.
