Job summary

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is seeking bilingual and multilingual individuals to operate as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor role in Honolulu. Interpreters set their own schedule, accept appointments based on availability, and contribute to language access in diverse settings.

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with no guaranteed slots. Starting pay is $30 per hour, depending on language, experience, and demand.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and target language with idiomatic and cultural understanding.
• Interpreting experience, preferably medical, legal, or educational settings.
• Professionalism, punctuality and adaptability in the workplace.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the US.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; or interpreting-related certification.
